The fourteenth edition of Drift Indy’s biggest bash is kicking off tomorrow, September 19. This year’s No Star Bash is bringing 150+ cars together for a three-day celebration of drifting and will include the final round of the inaugural Drift Indy Grand Prix season Saturday evening.
There’s very few events that allow drivers to turn as many laps as NSB does. The grid is always hot, and it's one of the only places where you’ll see 15+ car trains getting sent all night long. It’s chaotic, tricky and absolutely rad as hell. The fun isn’t all on the track though, with the pits providing plenty of party atmosphere, especially once the sun sets. We’ve got a great group of food trucks joining us this year, too.

We’re also introducing RC drifting to NSB for the first time this year, with the pavilion featuring a dedicated track and hosting a competition, judged by the DIGP judges, being held Saturday afternoon. The RC track will be open for everyone to use all weekend long, so if you get tired of watching big cars getting sideways, you can go relax in the shade and see some small cars get sideways instead.
Saturday evening is dedicated to crowning the inaugural DIGP champ, with a roster full of some of the best drifting talent in the midwest going toe-to-toe for bragging rights. The first two rounds have produced some incredibly entertaining and competitive matchups, and we’ve got a tight race at the top of the podium. With no seeded spots guaranteeing a spot in the Top-16 competition, every round is a dogfight as soon as preliminary qualifying kicks off.
Dayton’s own Roy Outcalt is currently in first overall after a solid performance at Round One and a win at Round Two, and his teammate Colten Terrell is hot on his heels, trailing by only 5 points. Behind them is a tie for third between Mike Steele and Britt Kaukeinen. Those four are leading in points, but it’s really anybody’s game in a field that’s so full of absolute shredders. Regardless of who’s standing on the top step at the end of the night, it’s going to be an awesome display of driving skill and style. Dedicated DIGP practice is scheduled to start at 6:00 pm Saturday, with qualifying starting an hour later.
