Drifting Background: I got into drifting on a whim, I had heard of it but never spectated or understood how competition worked. I went for one ride along with a friend and I was blown away. I welded my diff, bought some coilovers, and showed up to my first event a week later (Back to Basics @ Autocity Speedway circa 2016). I was hooked, and it turns out I started with the best chassis there is (BMW E46).
I started driving Drift Indy in 2018 with the same E46 I have now. I won the "Best Car Style" award in 2019, which was a pretty rad feeling. I have always enjoyed the vibes and drives at Drift Indy, and I can't wait to see where DIGP takes us - hopefully on the road in the future. I love traveling to new places to drift.
I spent a ton of time riding BMX when I was younger, like a lot of people did. Seems like drifting and action/extreme sports go hand in hand for everyone searching for adrenaline. I've ended up meeting some lifelong friends through drifting, and roped some of my old friends in as well - sorry Justin.
Drifting has become such a large motivation in my life. The constant pursuit of developing my craft and career. I've found that you need to work hard in life for everything you want, and drifting doesn't come easy. It's not for the faint of heart.
Fun Fact:My middle name is Delbert.
